Education and Support for Adoptive Families
Hand in Hand is a group for both
domestic and international adoptive
parents dedicated to:

        S        upport - Give adoptive
        parents a safe environment to
        voice concerns, feelings, and
        experiences as they parent
        their adopted child.
        Educate - Gain knowledge
        and skills to effectively deal
        with likely events in their
        child's life and understand the
        dynamics of the adoption triad.
        Advocate - The absolute best
        case scenario is for a child to
        be with his/her natural
        parents / birth parents / first
        parents.  However, when that
        is not possible, for whatever
        reason, adoption is the best
        alternative.
        The 'hand in hand' symbol
        represents the desire to support
        and encourage one another so that
        we are then better prepared to
        support our children as they deal
        with common adoption issues.
